The list of blogs on the pfblogs.org sidebar now lists at maximum 200 blogs, whether you’re looking at all blogs or just a category like investing. The list is randomly sorted, with Friends of pfblogs.org on top. All Friends of pfblogs.org will always be listed, plus a random assortment of other blogs.
It’s not too late to become a Friend of pfblogs.org during our Annual Campaign! If you donate more than $10 (enough to qualify as a Friend) in the month of April, I’ll throw in an extra six-month membership in the only club that gets you a gold star and a direct link from pfblogs.org. (Yes, we passed our extended goal of $300 for the month!)
Don’t you think thats silly? What happens if you have 200+ “friends” then what would you do?
Nope, not silly. If there are more than 200 Friends then I change the way they’re displayed again. Perhaps not all Friends will be displayed. Perhaps only the most recently updated blogs. If you’ve noticed, things are constantly changing about pfblogs.org to stay current.
I personally liked the other way before, it makes it harder to find my favorite blogs.
I hear you 1mil, it was easier to find favs the old way. However, I have pretty much added all of my favs to my blogroll. I use that like bookmarks. I use pfblogs.org to find new blogs and interesting posts that I may otherwise miss.
That’s why I do my Random blog sundays. I like picking one at random and perusing.
I think it is cool to have them random, but that’s because as a “u” I’m always at the end of any alphabetical listing (and why my blogroll is reverse alpha), not that it ever bothered me enough to consider starting my blog with a number to avoid that!
